U.S. Refugee Admissions Program:
The African Community Center (ACC) is based in Denver, Colorado and may be able to provide services to you and your family.
ACC is a refugee resettlement agency, and the majority of the families we serve arrive via the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. These individuals are granted refugee status overseas and are then assigned to a local resettlement agency who prepares for their arrival.
If you are an individual with refugee status or SIV (Special Immigrant Visa) status and have been in the U.S. for less than five years, you may be eligible for walk-in services. If you first arrived to the U.S. in another state and have moved to Colorado, you may be eligible for services as a “Secondary” refugee.

Asylees:
“Asylee” is the term used in the U.S. for people who have been granted asylum. If you have been granted asylum in the U.S., you are eligible for refugee services. Unfortunately, ACC can not serve individuals who are asylum-seekers.
